Jr. High History
Jr. High History
Through this year-long course students will not only grow in their understanding of history but in their ability to critically think, research, and discern through a biblical lens the philosophies and ideologies that have shaped our nation and world. Classes will be conducted in lecture and discussion form, allowing students more meaningful engagement with the material and each other. The first semester will dive into U.S. History, through A Patriot’s History of The United States by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen (accompanied by provided study guide). The second semester will be an in depth study of the 1st and 2nd World Wars, exploring the triumphs and failures of the early 20th century that formed the culture we live in today. (Required text TBA.)
First Semester Required Text: A Patriot’s History of The United States by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen can be found on Amazon for $16.50.
