Beginning Writing Class

Class dates: for 2026: January 8, 15, 22, & 29 February 5, 12, 19, & 26 March 5, 12, 19, & 26

They will write poetry; instructions; an advertisement; a narrative, persuasive or an opinion essay; and try a short graphic story. Your student will have fun learning to use their creativity in writing.

The class format will be a combination of lecture, discussions, and a lot of writing.
We will address grammar during class also.
There WILL be homework assigned weekly.
Ms. Affleck will send out a supply list 2 weeks before the start of class.

Cost: $485 ($460.00 p/student plus $25 materials fee) Does not include separate HERC fee of $20

students must be able to write independently & legibly
